Y a esto le Llaman Democracia?
Maduro recognizes that there’s no vote secrecy in Venezuela.
When talking about the official party’s loss of votes, he slips this at 0:25
“900.000 compatriots, 900.000… we have them, [with] their national ID numbers, and that meant the distance [between candidates] was shorter…”
Tell us, Maduro, how is voting secret when you can identify people who voted against you? Let’s look at what the Constitution has to say about this:El sufragio es un derecho. Se ejercerá mediante votaciones libres, universales, directas y secretas.
“Suffrage is a right. It will be exercised through free, universal, direct and secret voting.”
But, as we say in VE, what’s another stripe for the tiger? One more violation to the Constitution, eh, it almost doesn’t matter considering the backdrop of so many before this one, right? Nay. THIS puts the Electoral Council as accomplices of the government (how did Maduro get these numbers?) and further proves that the elections of past April were neither free or secret.
P.S:
It’s not that we didn’t KNOW they were doing this. I mean, they did have redshirts hovering over people as they voted…
But that is one thing, and the other is Maduro just openly admitting it.
Maybe he’s doing it to prevent further vote loss in the future by intimidation. After all, most people on the public sector won’t dare to vote differently if they know that vote is not secret at all.
